Reports
There were no minutes from the regular meeting in August; however, treasurer Sue Henwood confirmed approval of a motion to spend up to $800 at the Fairfield County Junior Fair livestock auction.
The Business Directory was discussed. It is to be here at the September 25 general meeting, for distribution at the Oktoberfest September 27. Discussion of participation in 2026 was tabled till January.
Brenda Carney’s email of a new publication, Southeast Ohio Business Matters was reviewed for possible participation, but more details are needed.
Tentative plans for meetings in 2026
Interest expressed by the BAHS to be a meeting site/topic. Possible box lunch options: Bremen Drive In, Falcon’s Nest, in addition to Millcreek Market. Tentative plans for meetings in 2026:

- February 26: SOCA, at Bremen Community Methodist church (Rich)
- March 26: Maverick, at Bremen Bethel Presbyterian (Rich)
- April 23: Maverick (Rich) or Commissioner Jeff Fix (Marilyn) at BCMC
- May 28: Lines’ Automotive, at the Legion (Marilyn), Bremen Drive In lunch (Heather)

- July: Fix or Jennifer Moore or Bremen Bank on scams…
- Other ideas: library? Morgan’s? local realtor?
Other business
Krista Ankrom will be contacted about interest in a position as secretary or trustee. It was suggested that the chamber help to promote the Fairfield County Community Action Recycling “Shred Day.” Chamber participation in the Oktoberfest parade is dependent on David Foltz’s availability; Sue H. will check with Lydia at the village office on banners.
The sign at the corner of routes 37 and 664 will be due for plaque updates; as Mike Qualls is difficult to reach, we will research another sign company for plaque replacements.
