It’s Scarecrow Time! — 2026 Trail of Scarecrows

During the month of October, people will be visiting different communities throughout the county voting on their favorite scarecrows! Join in on the fun and your display will be listed on the Visit Fairfield County “Trail of Scarecrows” digital map! Bremen Area Chamber of Commerce is again sponsoring Bremen’s contest and awarding prizes in Bremen.

You could win a $50 Visa gift card for the People’s Choice Award in Bremen. Improve your chance to win by uploading a photo of your finished scarecrow to be included on the voting form. A link to register and upload your photo can be found on the Visit Fairfield County’s Trail of Scarecrows registration page.

New in 2026

This year's theme is "America 250" — a celebration of the people, places, traditions, and moments that make America—and Fairfield County—so special! Create a scarecrow inspired by history, patriotism, innovation, or hometown pride, whether it’s a colonial patriot, a pioneer family, a historic schoolteacher, or even a scarecrow dressed in red, white, and blue! Or, compete in another category for a chance to win a special prize — winners are determined by public vote on the Trail of Scarecrows voting form.
